Doshic Action

Pacifies Vāta and Kapha doṣas, may mildly increase Pitta if over-used.
Acts primarily on Annavaha srotas (digestive tract), Prāṇavaha srotas (respiratory system), and Āmavaha srotas (detox pathways).

Therapeutic Indications

Thymol (Ajwain-Satva) is a concentrated essence of Yavāni, used where strong Āma-pācana and Vātānulomana are required.
It stimulates Agni, relieves spasm, and clears intestinal pathogens.

It is beneficial in:

• Agnimāndya – Poor digestion, loss of appetite

• Ādhmāna / Gulma – Bloating, gaseous distension

• Śūla – Abdominal colic, cramps

• Āma-vāta – Rheumatic conditions with toxins

• Kāsa–Śvāsa – Cough, congestion, asthma

• Aruchi – Loss of taste

• Krimi – Intestinal worms or microbial imbalance

• Vibandha – Constipation with gas accumulation
