Pankajakasthuri has announced its flagship drug “zingivir h as a proven adjunct therapy for SARS COV-2 after successful completion of clinical trials.

zingivir h is an ayurvedic tablet from Pankajakasthuri Herbal India Limited with Ginger and Clove as main ingredients. It was originally designed to treat fever, cold, and respiratory illness.

Now clinical trials indicate it could potentially cure Covid-19. The company has released interim results, a copy of which was submitted to the AYUSH ministry for verification showing that Covid-19 positive patients who were administered zingivir h in addition to the standard protocol turned negative in Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) test.

Pankajakasthuri Herbal India started research on these tablets since June.

  Their initial research with 42 subjects showed promise of a cure. Now, after clinical trials with 116 Covid-19 patients, the results indicate quicker recovery at almost double pace for patients who were administered Pankajakasthuri Zingivir-H.

The people who consumed Zingivir-H recovered on an average in 5 days while others took eight days or at times more for recovery.

AS A STANDALONE CURE FOR COVID-19

The interim results of two different researches involving 42 and 116 patients have been positive for Zingivir-H but they only proved the efficacy of the drug as an adjunct medicine for faster relief from Covid-19. Dr. J Hareendran Nair, who is lead in the research team of the project, has claimed that a study on 135 Covid-19 positive volunteers is also in progress and expects that study to help Zingivir-H achieve the status of a standalone cure for SARS Cov-2 infection.

WHY IS zingivir h SPECIAL?

Zingivir H is made of seven ayurvedic ingredients. The primary ingredients are Ginger and Clove, both these are already a regular part of the Indian diet.

Ginger is a renowned immunity booster while Clove is used in Ayurveda for its anti-viral and anti-microbial properties. The combination of the two is administered in common cold, cough, fever and many other respiratory diseases.

The other ingredients which constitute Zingivir-H are Nutgrass, Black Cumin, Parpataka plant (Indian Fumitory) and naturally occurring Arsenic Sulphide (Orpiment) and an ore of mercury called Cinnabar.

This is an ayurvedic formula from Kerala system which has been used to cure viral fevers for centuries.

PRECAUTIONS

Yellow Orpiment or Arsenic Sulphide is a mineral that occurs naturally near hot geysers and springs. This and Cinnabar, which is an ore of mercury are toxic metals that are purified by various ayurvedic practices to make them beneficial. Yet the presence of metals, though only in negligible quantities means it is best to take this medicine only under medical supervision.

This medicine is not advised for people with Chronic Liver disease

It is not for people with impaired Kidney functions.

Zingivir-H is generally not advised for pregnant women and lactating mothers.

It is also not for children below five years of age.

DOSAGE

The recommended dosage is generally three tablets a day for everyone over 10 years of age and 1 tablet for 5-10 years. This is highly powerful medicine and should strictly be consumed only at the advice of an ayurvedic physician.

The dosage will vary in every individual and will depend on the condition. In case of Covid-19, a tablet every three hours is recommended in the company website. There is no 100% proven and Government approved cure yet for Covid-19 and self-administration of medicines is strictly discouraged.

The medicine is administered for a maximum period of 15 days after which it has to be stopped for at least 15 days before restart.

AS AN IMMUNITY BOOSTER

It can be consumed as an immunity booster or as a preventive measure for SARS Cov-2 for 10 days at the rate of 2 tablets per day. Then a 20-day break is recommended before restarting administration if you are in a highly exposed area.
