Saindhava Lavaṇa is considered the best among all salts in Ayurveda due to its lightness, cooling nature, and non-aggravating effect on doshas.

• The Charaka Samhitā describes Saindhava as “Lavaṇānām Saindhavam Śreṣṭham” — the best among all salts.

• It is cooling, digestive, gentle, and tridoṣa-balancing, unlike other salts that increase Pitta.

• Known for its soothing effect on digestion, skin, and circulation.

• Used as a natural carminative, electrolyte stabilizer, and srotas (channel) cleanser.

• In culinary use, preferred in Ayurvedic diet and Pathya āhāra during fevers or Pitta disorders.
